• The Graduate Certificate in College Teaching helps graduate students prepare for College Teaching.

• It requires a minimum of 12 s.h. of graduate credit doing coursework and practicum for course.

• Previous teaching experience does not count toward certificate requirements.  

CIRTL Associate Level Certificate from Center for the Integration of Research, Teaching & Learning (CIRTL), University of Iowa

• (CIRTL) is a network of research universities across the U.S. and Canada. 

• The mission of CIRTL mission is to improve undergraduate education by  advancing effective teaching practices for diverse learners as part of successful and varied professional careers. 

• A CIRTL Associate certificate can obtained by participating in workshop, seminars, and classes to learn about existing knowledge in teaching and learning within a discipline or more broadly.
